CP House, Shelter Island

Design for new construction begins with an assessment of system efficiencies, site conditions and local utility services. Geothermal, multi zone splits, and high-efficiency heating are probable HVAC designs, as well as green systems for rainwater harvesting, solar photovoltaic and emergency power generation.

This new home construction required high efficient systems, radiant floors and below slab ductwork distribution. Starting with a new slate, the designs remained flexible until program solidified. Designs continued to be modified throughout the process in accordance with owner input.
